Michael Green is to Leave Reuters

London - Reuters, the global information and news group, announced today that Michael Green, Chairman of Carlton Communications PLC, who joined the Reuters Board as a non-executive director in July 1992, has decided not to stand for re-election at the Annual General Meeting on 20 April 1999.

Sir Christopher Hogg, Reuters Chairman, said: "Michael has been a valued member of the Board during several eventful years and all of us warmly appreciate the contribution he has made."

Mr Green served for two three-year terms.
